7th Anniversary in Vancouver, BC, Canada

For our 7th exciting year of marriage, we took a low-key (by our standards) trip to Vancouver. There we found tons of totem poles, ceremonial masks, and plenty of rain.

The day before Thanksgiving we loaded Zero into his Pet Palace and took the relatively short drive up to Vancouver. We wanted to avoid the holiday crowds in America, and celebrate the 7th! year of our marriage. It's been a wild time, with 2 of those 7 years spent traveling the world as homeless adventurers. We've previously celebrated anniversaries in Austin, Texas (1st & 2nd);  Siem Reap, Cambodia (3rd); Victoria, BC (4th); Portland, Oregon (5th); and Bogota, Colombia (6th).

After we got settled in at our Airbnb, we headed to the famous neighborhood known as Gastown for a historic nighttime tour. We didn't get many photos, but we did learn a lot about the area and it's history with prohibition.

The next day there was a break in the rain, so we took Zero on a walk through Stanley Park.

On the way back we also stopped by the Granville Island Public Market for lunch.

We were pretty tired after that so we enjoyed some great local food and beers before passing out for the night.

The next morning we headed to the Museum Of Anthropology. There were tons of amazing totem poles and other artworks from the First Peoples of Canada.

It was a great anniversary, and we can't wait for many more.
